Swift Connect Travel — Health & Medical Policy
Last Updated: September 2025
At Swift Connect Travel, the safety, health, and wellbeing of our travelers are our highest priority. Because our trips involve international flights, ground transportation, excursions, and immersion in cultural and community settings within Ghana, West Africa, this Health & Medical Policy sets clear expectations regarding medical disclosures, traveler responsibilities, and Swift Connect’s role.
1. Traveler Responsibilities
Accurate Medical Disclosure: Travelers must provide complete and accurate medical information before departure, including conditions, allergies, medications, and mobility needs.
Fitness to Travel: By booking, travelers confirm they are physically and mentally fit for international travel, long flights, and participation in excursions.
Medications: Travelers must bring sufficient supply of prescription medications, stored in original containers, and keep them in carry-on luggage.
Vaccinations & Health Requirements: Travelers are responsible for meeting entry health requirements, including valid Yellow Fever vaccination (mandatory for entry into Ghana) and other recommended immunizations (e.g., malaria prophylaxis, typhoid, hepatitis A/B).
2. Swift Connect’s Role
Not a Medical Provider: Swift Connect is not a healthcare provider and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions.
Emergency Support: We will assist travelers in accessing medical care locally in Ghana if needed, but all costs are the traveler’s responsibility.
Reasonable Accommodation: Where disclosed in advance, Swift Connect will attempt to make reasonable arrangements for dietary, mobility, or medical needs, subject to local feasibility.
3. Insurance Requirement
Swift Connect strongly recommends that all travelers carry comprehensive travel insurance that covers:
Emergency medical treatment
Medical evacuation and repatriation
Trip interruption due to illness or injury
COVID-19 or other communicable diseases (if required by airlines or Ghanaian authorities)
4. Illness During Travel
If a traveler becomes ill during the trip, Swift Connect staff may:
Assist in contacting medical providers.
Arrange alternative accommodations or transportation if feasible.
Require the traveler to refrain from group activities to safeguard others.
5. Communicable Disease Acknowledgement
By booking, travelers acknowledge the inherent risk of exposure to communicable diseases (including but not limited to COVID-19, malaria, influenza, and other regional illnesses). Swift Connect cannot guarantee a disease-free environment.
6. Liability Limitation
Swift Connect, its staff, contractors, and partners are not liable for:
Undisclosed or inaccurately disclosed medical conditions.
Refusal of airlines or authorities to board/admit a traveler based on health documentation.
Costs of medical treatment, evacuation, quarantine, or trip interruption due to illness.
7. Updates
This Health & Medical Policy may be updated to reflect changes in Ghanaian entry requirements, global health advisories, or best practices. The latest version will always be provided before trip departure.
